CSIS 093 - CCNA 4 Connecting Networks

Pre-Req: This course enables students to understand the selection criteria of network devices and WAN technologies to meet network requirements. Students will learn how to configure and troubleshoot network devices and resolve common issues with data link protocols. Students will also develop the knowledge and skills needed to implement IPSec and virtual private network (VPN) operation in a complex network.
May be taken as Credit/No-Credit.

Course Description:

This course provides a comprehensive, theoretical, and practical approach to learning the technologies and protocols needed to design and implement a converged switched network. Students learn about the hierarchical network design model and how to select devices for each layer. The course explains how to configure a switch for basic functionality and how to implement Virtual LANs, VTP, and Inter-VLAN routing in a converged network.
